Well, our second weekend in Texas, we headed to the Caldwell Zoo for some well deserved and needed family time.

Lydia, ready for a scorcher at the Zoo. I think the temp rose above 95 that day.

Mike and Lydia spot some wildlife- other than the brothers.

The gang feeds the fish and turtles. It was like Routsong's pond! Big fat fish almost jumped out of the water when they saw us coming with food.

The kids loved the big white tiger. He was humongous! When we first walked up, he was laying down. Mike decided to stare him down. Boy, Mr. Tiger did not like that. He got up and strutted around. We were grateful for the thick glass wall between us!

Is it just me, or are those hungry eyes?

Todd, Lydia, and Ethan with the Tiger.

The aviary was a neat site. We bought little seed covered popsicle sticks to feed to the birds. It was delightful! The birds would nibble and once in a while you could coax a bird onto the stick.

Lydia wasn't so sure about these birds.

She's thinking that they are OK from a distance.

Ethan was literally walking around calling, "Here birdie, birdie. Here birdie, birdie."

Brandon succeeded in cooercing a bird onto his stick.

Todd found a friendly green bird.

Yay! Ethan's tactics worked!

Pretty Lyddie in her sunbonnet.

We got to go pet the goats.

Brandon- the helpful big brother.

Lydia tried some fun sunglasses on at our final stop in the gift shop. She loves sunglasses. She just loves all accessories. Totally girl!

I am so glad that you posted pics. Lydia looks like she's grown a lot in only a few weeks. Miss you guys. Love you.
On the pic that is labeled "are those hungry eyes", are you refering to Lydia or the tiger?
